World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day

Yesterday was special. It was World AIDS Day. As a Tantrist, my thoughts and prayers were with those who suffer with HIV/AIDS. My thoughts are prayers were also with those who search for a vaccine or cure.

There are many ways we can help those who suffer and those who search. Certainly, our thoughts and prayers help. We can also donate our time and money.

Now there is another way to help. On 2005-NOV-21, World Community Grid launched Fight AIDS @ Home. This is a grid computing effort to find new treatments for fighting the HIV virus. This computational chemistry research program allows us to donate the unused CPU time on our desktops and laptops.

I’ve been a volunteer to World Community Grid for about 2 years. I am really pleased to be part of the team associated with this effort. I encourage you to join World Community Grid, and to enlist your PC in this research project. It is simple and safe.
